The Broad is the newest museum in Los Angeles, and it has been creating quite a lot of hype in the first couple months it opened, and for good reason. This contemporary art museum has a great mix of art, but the architecture of the place is what really interests me. The waffle like shell, lets light into the museum naturally, and the gray concrete floor is a nice contrast to the all white interior.
Also, the mirrored room in the museum is well worth the wait. There needs to be a separate reservation for this, but it's SO WORTH IT! The story behind this room is super interesting too, the lights and mirrors are the metaphoric representation of hallucinations the artist has experienced in her life. The Broad is definitely a museum worth visiting, and it's free!
